‘Caught in the Web’

Moving image, sound design, animation and video editing, 2019.

With the original installation to be projected at St Peter’s Library, Brighton, this piece explored online consumerism and the nature of digital information overload, within a quiet space surrounded by knowledgeable material, whilst being surrounded by rows and rows of intellectual, knowledgable and cultivated books.

Later adapted into an online version during the first UK lockdown, the 7-screen project took on new meaning. With public spaces unavailable, the claustrophobic feeling of being trapped in a digital world became not only a concept, but a lived experience
